Segun Oni Campaign Organisation dismiss a letter circulating on social media, purporting he has withdrawn from the race

Segun Oni Campaign Organisation has dismissed a letter circulating on the social media, purporting that the Social Democratic Party candidate in Ekiti State governorship poll, Mr. Segun Oni, has withdrawn from the race.

A letter sent to newsmen dated June 17, 2022, purportedly signed by Olusegun Adebayo Oni, announced the SDP candidate’s withdrawal from the governorship poll.

But while speaking to newsmen on the telephone Saturday morning, spokesperson for the campaign organisation, Moses Jolayemi, dismissed the letter, saying “Oni will win the governorship poll”.

He described the letter as the ‘last phase of madness’ and urged the electorate to go out and vote en mass for Oni.

Jolayemi said, “I am debunking the statement as madness. This is the last phase of their madness. I am urging the people of the state to go out enmass and vote for Segun Oni.

“If it is the will of God, Oni will win the election today. Our people should disregard the statement as the handiwork of mad people.”
