APC Convention: List of APC presidential aspirants who stepped down for Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) special convention to choose the party’s candidate for the 2023 presidential election took an unexpected turn on Tuesday as some aspirants stepped down and instead supported the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.

Below are some of the aspirants who stepped down for the former governor of Lagos state:

• Godswill Akpabio, former Minister of Niger Delta.
  
• Ibikunle Amosun, former governor of Ogun state and Senator representing Ogun Central district.
  
• Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti state.
  
• Dimeji Bankole, former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
  
• Mohammed Badaru, Jigawa state governor.
  
• Senator Ajayi Boroffice, Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District
  

• Uju Ohanaeye, the only female aspirant in the race
