Gunmen whisk away mother of Kogi chief of staff after prayer in mosque

Gunmen have kidnapped Mrs Seriya Raji, mother of Abdulkarim Jamiu Asuku, the Chief of Staff to Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello.

The incident which occurred Monday night was confirmed by an eyewitness who claimed she was whisked away moments after she observed her evening (Ishai) prayer in a mosque.

The gunmen, about 6 in number, stormed her residence in Adavi Local Government Area of the state, gaining entrance through the mosque.

Meanwhile, there has been no official statement from relevant authorities in the state and family source.
