VIDEO: 21-storey building collapses on Gerrard road in Ikoyi, Lagos

Scores of persons are feared dead after a 21-storey building collapsed in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Monday.

Many persons, among who are workers at the site were said to be trapped under the debris.

NewsWireNGR gathered the building is under construction when it collapsed.

Meanwhile, the Director General, LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the agency has activated its emergency response plan to the above incident.

“All first responders are en route to secure the scene while the heavy-duty equipment and life detection equipment have been dispatched.”
