Breaking: Two officers killed as gunmen attack another police station in Delta

Gunmen have attacked Umutu Police Divisional Headquarters in the Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta state, killing at least two officers.

NewsWireNGR learnt that the hoodlums attacked the facility around 2:30am on Friday but did not burn down the station.

It was however not clear if the assailants carted away arms from the police station.

When contacted for comments at about 7:13 am, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali said,”No comments for now. I’m doing something for now.”

There has been an increasing spate of attacks on security agencies in the South East and South South geopolitical zones of the country, which has compounded the security challenges in the two regions.
