Breaking: Edo Speaker, Francis Okiye has been impeached

Edo Speaker Francis Okiye has been impeached over alleged high-handedness.

House Majority Leader, Henry Okhurobo, moved the motion for his impeachment.

Nine of the 10 Assembly members at the Plenary signed his impeachment letter.

Marcus Onobun, representing Esan West Constituency was immediately sworn in as the new Speaker.
