Racism: UEFA Slams Italian FA President, Carlo Tavecchio With Six Months Ban

European football governing body, UEFA has banned the president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Carlo Tavecchio from holding any position as a UEFA official for six months.
This is as a result of the racism remarks the 71-year-old made earlier this year during his election campaign. He had referred to African players as ‘eating bananas’ but later went on to apologize.
What this ban implies is that he will missing from the next UEFA congress which comes up in March 2015.
