Godwin Emefiele Takes Over As CBN Governor [Photos]
The new governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, on Tuesday took over the administration of the apex bank as former acting Governor, Sarah Alade, handed over the mantle of Leadership to the banker at the bank’s headquarters in Abuja
Emefiele who promised to unfold his agenda for the bank and Nigerians on Thursday succeeded Lamido Sanusi, who was in April, suspended from office by President Jonathan over ‘financial recklessness’.
Until his appointment, Mr. Emefiele was the Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc. Financial analyst are hopeful as Emefiele takes over the administration of Africa’s Largest economy.
