Amidst Nationwide Killings, Buhari Is 2019 Ready – Reappoints Rotimi Amaechi Campaign Manager

Amidts the large scale of killings from Adamawa to Rivers, Benue and Kaduna, Borno and Yobe, leaving over 100 Nigerians killed in three days alone – unperturbed Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly reappointed his Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as the Director-General of his 2019 election campaign.

Since the nationwide rampaging Fulani Herdsmen have been sacking communities, killing hundreds of innocent citizens, the President is yet to act, none of the herders have been arrested or prosecuted..

Unarmed protesters agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra in Nigeriaa’s South-East were repeatedly rounded up and killed according to Amnesty International Accounts – unarmed Shiites in Zaria, Kaduna State, rounded up and killed, both women and children were not spared in the killings carried out by state backed security  – yet no action has been carried against the fourth most dangerous terrorist group, the Fulani Militia raiding communities..

According to THISDAY Newspapers, Buhari may have finally made the decision to seek re-election and has started preparing to campaign.

Amaechi, who led Buhari’s campaign in 2015, has been issued a letter of appointment for next year’s election and would make an official announcement on his appointment anytime soon.

The President has hinted at contesting a few times in the past, but is refusing to share his aspirations with many people.

He has, however, discussed the matter with Amaechi, who had convinced him to run in 2015.

Sources close to the All Progressives Congress (APC), also hinted that although a majority of party members are not averse to Buhari’s re-election bid, they have advised that things be done properly.

The ruling party chieftains expect Buhari to reach out to them personally to intimate them of his re-election bid.
