How Aso Rock Rats Chased “Lion King” Buhari From His Office
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has been chased out of office by rodent. Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant, on Media tells the BBC that “After a long stay away from office for about three months, rodents had damaged the furniture and air conditioning units win the President’s office and he will now have to work from home”.
According to Mr Shehu, this is the reason why the office is being cleaned and renovated for the President’s use again.
After spending over 100 days in London where he was on medical vacation, President Buhari returned to Nigeria on Saturday, August 19. He addresed Nigerians on Monday morning in a nationwide broadcast that lasted for 3 minutes 54 seconds, thereafter, he sent a letter to the National Assembly to inform the lawmakers of his resumption.
Shehu said ongoing cleaning and renovation being done at the President’s office is the reason the President had to opt for the office within his residential area of Aso Rock villa.
