Some officials of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Tudun Wada Ward 6 in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State have denied receiving financial inducement to expel Sen. Shehu Sani from the party.

Secretary of the ward, Alhaji Auwal Abdulhameed Garba, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, said the allegation leveled against them by the chairman of the ward was not true as no such thing happened.

Chairman of the ward, Abbas Mohammed Anni, had on Sunday, alleged that some exco members in the ward had collected N3 million from Uba Sani, the political adviser to the Kaduna State governor, in order to expel Sen. Sani from the party.

Garba, who spoke with newsmen, yesterday, said no such meeting took place between him and any government official and that as far as the ward was concerned, it was the senator that was trying to goad the party into expelling him, so he could win public sympathy.

He said: “We have called Shehu Sani several times but he refused to honour our invitation. Since his suspension from the party, he never deemed it necessary to meet with us even though we have invited him several times.

“This current allegation is in order to give the impression that we are corrupt, but that is not true, and he is using money to cause confusion in the ward in order to divide us,” he said.
