Nigeria’s Divine Oduduru Comes Second After Worlds Number 1, Usain Bolt in Men’s 200m Heats At The Olympic

Nigerian sprinter Divine Oduduru has done Team Nigeria and the entire country proud.

He gave World Number 1 Usain Bolt a run for his money when he finished second in the 200m Heat 9 in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Oduduru finished second in a personal record time of 20.34s while Bolt finished in 20.28s. Another Nigerian, Tega Odele ran in the race but could not qualify.

This makes Divine Oduduru the reigning Nigerian 200m champion as he is through to the Semi-Finals.
