Buhari, Dogara In Closed Door Meeting To End Budget Scandal – NewsWireNGR Report Confirmed

The embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, is currently meeting President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

NewsWireNGR had reported exclusively that Buhari will be meeting Dogara today.

Issues relating to recent revelation of alleged budget padding in the lower chamber is expected to be on the agenda of the meeting holding inside the President’s office.

Dogara arrived for the meeting at about 2.30pm according to sources at the Presidential Villa..

He had earlier joined Buhari to grace the Graduation Ceremony of Course 24 of the National Defence College, Abuja.

Only Yesterday, the ruling All Progressives Congress gagged Kano Lawmaker, Abdulmumin Jibrin from speaking about the budget to the Press.

Sources at the Villa say the meeting is to percify on Buhari to stop the anti-Corruption agencies from probing members involved in the scandal, “the controversy is embarrasing to the APC government’ he added…

Abdulmumuni, former Chairman, House of Reps Committee on appropriation is accusing Dogara, Deputy Speaker, Yussuf Sulaimon Lasun, Chief Whip, Alhassan Ado Doguwa and Minority Leader, Leo Ogor of allocating N40 billion to themselves out of the N100 billion appropriated for the National Assembly, and making “senseless’ insertions into the 2016 budget”.
