Breaking: U.S. Government Warns of Possible Terror Attacks on Lagos Hotels

The U.S. State Department has warned that terror groups are planning attacks in Nigeria’s biggest cities of  Lagos to be launched possibly today or tomorrow during Eid-al-Fitr.

“The U.S. Government has received information that terrorist groups are planning to carry out near-term attacks,” the State Department said.

The Associated Press (@AP) media Chief in Africa, Jon Gambrell wrote on his twiiter, that the “US Consulate warning said Lagos hotels are “including those located on waterfronts.” It warns possible attack either today or tomorrow.

In the last year, ‘terrorist’ groups have carried out several attacks on luxury hotels in Africa, resulting in high death tolls and destruction of valuable property. Burkina Faso, Egypt, Libya, Mali and Tunisia, among other countries, have all witnessed deadly terrorist attacks targeting hotels.
