Passengers of Dana Air Were Stranded At Airports Nationwide As Pilots Strike

Some passengers of Dana Air were on Thursday stranded at airports across the country for several hours following a strike embarked upon by the airline’s pilots.

The decision of the pilots to disrupt the airline’s flight operations was informed by a dispute they had with the management over welfare issues.

The situation at the Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MMA 2), Lagos, was that some of the airline’s flights scheduled for the early part of Thursday were cancelled.

Some of the affected passengers who had bought flight tickets told NAN that they had to make alternative arrangements to get to their destinations.

However, Dana Air’s Communications Manager, Mr Kingsley Ezenwa, who confirmed the development, told NAN that the issue had been resolved.

“The issue has been resolved. It was just a small miscommunication between Dana management and pilots.

“So, we are flying now and we apologise to our passengers for any inconveniences they might have suffered,” Ezenwa said.
