The Nasarawa State Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has lost confidence in some of his senior government officials, describing them as saboteurs.

The governor stated this at the Council Chamber, Government House, during an expanded emergency meeting with heads of boards, ministries and parastals.

“Let us concentrate our attention on the unity, vision and objective for which the state was created.”

The governor added, “Is that the call for the creation of Nasarawa State? Do we achieve the objective of creating Nasarawa State? What are we bringing towards the development of Nasarawa State? He said his administration was determined to ensure prompt payment of workers’ salaries. He also said that very soon, 1,500 youths would be empowered with different skills in order to avoid youth restiveness in the state.

He advised civil servants to obtain their Bank Verification Number.

According to him, March salaries will only be paid to civil servants with BVN.
