In an interview with Channels Television, Flagship program, “Sunrise Daily”, Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina said, “It is a four years mandate. We still have 36 months to go. I just pray that those who have been so critical, so cynical will be humble enough to eat their words when the goodies start coming,”.

“If some people are now crying that they are in darkness, they should go and hold those who are blowing up the gas pipelines.” added Femi Adesina..

Adesina noted, “when you’re in a long distance race you pace yourself, and if you don’t pace yourself, those who are paced properly will pass you along the way “.

He then said Nigerians will have to wait for a while longer before the fuel scarcity problems will be resolved.

Adesina, who stated this on Sunday while speaking during Channels television program, also noted that the just concluded National Economic Conference wasn’t held because Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, had called for it.

“Professor Soyinka asked for an economic summit. But what happened was not what he asked for. Because before Prof Soyinka asked for the economic summit, the National Economic Council had decided to hold what happened.”

“Don’t forget that the President himself at an interview in Qatar said yes, if the people want to sit down and hold a summit, the government is not averse to it.”

“But what happened last week was not what Prof Soyinka canvassed. The National Economic Council, had decided to hold that retreat before Prof Soyinka spoke.”

“To the best of my knowledge, it was fruitful. I was there at the opening ceremony. I guess a report is going to come out after that report, we will be able to judge.”
