Despite Queues For Petrol, NNPC Says It Has Enough Products

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has assured Nigerians that it has enough products to meet the demands for the month of March.

The statement aimed at cushioning the effect of the current scarcity of petrol across Nigeria was made on Saturday by the NNPC’s Group Executive Director in charge of Commercial Investment, Mr Babatunde Adeniran.

Mr Adeniran, who was on a tour of some petrol stations in Abuja, attributed the recent scarcity to pipeline vandalism.

He assured Nigerian that the NNPC was making efforts to fix the pipelines and checkmate the vandals.

The NNPC also warned petroleum marketers against hoarding the product, an act he said had made the situation more severe.

Mr Adeniran also urged Nigerians to stop panic buying and gave the assurance that petrol would be fully available by the beginning of the new week.
