Shiite Muslims Attempt To Assassinate Chief of Army Staff In Zaria Says Nigerian Army
There’s an ongoing clash in Zaria, Kaduna that has left at least seven persons dead in Zaria, following a clash between soldiers and members of a Shiite Muslim sect.
According to the Nigerian Military, Shiite Muslims attempted to assassinate Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff.

The clash involved the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff and the Shiites. Source says El-Zakzaky's Shi'a group attempted to assassinate Gen. Burutai, COAS as attack on his convoy is responsible for carnage Zaria.
According to TheWhistle, another shi'a member reports that Nigerian Army opened fire on the El-Zakzaky Shiite group HQ Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatallah in Zaria.
Reports say Army attacked Shi'a Islamic Movement center under the leadership of El-Zakzaky (Hussainia Baqeeyatullah Zaria) .
