The Federal House of Representatives members passed a record 130 bills in its Thursday morning session. Such hasty legislation might suggest a statement of intent regarding their new disposition to carrying out the duties they were elected for or a plastic show off and hasty irrational legislation.
All the said bills scaled through first reading during sitting today. It remains to be seen if the motivation behind their action is genuine or plastic.
Clerk of the House, Mohammed Sani-Omolori, spent quite sometime in reading out the titles of the bill.
After the day’s sitting, some members of the parliament- feeling good with themselves- said they’ll attempt to work harder, pass more bills and resolutuions
“There is a shift from the era of slumbering in the past”,one of the Reps member remarked.
