Embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) bought N90million house for his son from monies meant to purchase arms to fight Boko Haram according to reports.

The embattled former NSA, Sambo Dasuki, has been under intense pressure from law enforcement authorities over his alleged role in orchestrating the stealing of $2 billion meant for a massive arms contract. The allegedly stolen funds were intended to purchase weapons to fight Islamist terror group, Boko Haram.

Agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) raided Mr. Dasuki’s home as part of the widening investigation into the alleged heist. Mr. Dasuki, who denied stealing from Nigeria’s funds for the purchase of arms, has reportedly made a statement to investigators after which he was transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

Sources had earlier said Dasuki’s statement indicted chieftains of the then ruling PDP but Dasuki through his lawyer, Mr. Ahmed Raji, a senior advocate said he never made such statement or name anyone to EFCC and wondered where the authors got their information from.

“I was with Dasuki yesterday and wish to make categorical statement that my client never made any statement of such nature or naming anybody or group in any statement.

“Quote me anywhere, Dasuki has not done anything like that. It is absolutely untrue. It is the figment of the imagination of the authors aimed at creating falsehood for reasons best known to them and Nigerians should disregard them.

“They are just out to scandalise the man, bring his image and character into disrepute so that his friends and well wishers can run away from him. They want him deserted and that will fail”, Raji said.
