“Stop Undermining Our Effort In Battling Crime” – Lagos Police Issues A Stern Warning To The Ungrateful Public

The Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday issued a stern warning to the general public to desist from acts capable of undermining its efforts towards battling crime in the state.

The statement reads, “The Lagos State Police Command has observed wit concern the impunity wit which some unscrupulous members of the public obstruct/undermine law enforcement agents while in the execution of their lawful duties.

The Lagos law enforcement agency gave the directive via its official Twitter handle, @policeng_lagos, while reacting to an incident which occurred on the 1st of November at at Idiroko/Anthony Bus Stop, where a group of three men allegedly obstructed Police Anti-crime patrol team while they were responding to a distress call to rescue a robbery victim.

It said the Anti-crime patrol team was at the verge of getting the Robbers arrested as at the time these follows:

a: namely, comrade Victor Edward Adonis ,Reuben Timinipre & Amuda Isah blocked the road with a toyota camry car Reg.No APP 656 CD, gold in color, obstructed their movement. As a result of which the suspected robbers escaped to an unknown destination.

The Lagos State Police Command therefore warned the general public to desist from act capable of undermining the effort of the police to reduce crime in lagos to its bearest minimum. “The trio will be arraigned in court soon to serve as deterrents to others, statement added.
