The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday invited former Gov. Martin Elechi of Ebonyi for interrogation.
A source at the EFCC said in Abuja that Elechi arrived at the commission’s office at 10 a.m.
The source said that the former governor was at the commission to honour the invitation by EFCC.
On Jan. 29, the EFCC also invited the former governor’s son, Nnanna Elechi, for interrogation.
The former governor, who left office on May 29, after a second term, could not face the anti-graft agency earlier since he had constitutional immunity against prosecution.
Mr Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesman of EFCC, confirmed the information.
