APC Governors Hold Emergency Meeting Over National Assembly Crisis

Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have convened an emergency meeting to seek ways of quelling the crisis rocking the party over who assumes leadership at the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Reports emanating from Abuja show that the meeting, which was called by the chairman of the APC governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, at the Imo State Governors lodge, Asokoro, Abuja commenced at about 5 pm today (Monday).

The meeting, it was gathered, is intended to find a common point of agreement for members who are currently aggrieved over the outcome of the larger meeting of the party at the weekend to resulted in the emergence of Ahmed Lawan from Yobe and Femi Gbajabiamila as sole candidates for Senate Presidency and Speaker of the House respectively.
