Governor Tambuwal, Deputy Declare Their Assets To CCB, Just Like Buhari It Wasn’t Made Public

Aminu Tambuwal, the new governor of Sokoto state and his deputy, Ahmed Aliyu, have declared their assets.

This was announced by Malam Yusuf Muhammad, the director, Code of Conduct Bureau in the state, Daily Trust reports.

According to him, the governor and his deputy had collected their asset declaration forms on May 18 and they returned the forms a day before their assumption of duty.

Mahammad called on the outgoing members of the state executive council including Secretary to the State Government, special advisers and members of the House of Assembly to submit their end of tenure declaration forms on or before next week Monday.

He had that they had been given till June 12, Friday by the headquarters of the bureau to submit the forms of the affected officers together with the verification exercise report.

Tambuwal, the immediate past speaker of the House of Representatives emerged winner of the April 11, 2015 governorship election in Sokoto state. He took over the mantle of leadership as the 6th civilian governor of the state from Dr. Aliyu Magakarda Wamakko on May 29.

The governor had earlier promised to provide good governance in the state with utmost transparency and fairness.

Tambuwal has already sprung into action as he stopped a rebellious driver from breaking traffic laws at a roundabout in Sokoto metropolis.
