Breaking: Nigeria President-Elect, Buhari, Begins A Revenge Mission, Bars AIT From Covering His Activities

President-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari may have just started a revenge mission on the African Independent Television, AIT when, Monday, the security men attached to him barred the station’s correspondent, Bebei from covering Buhari’s functions.

The station aired a 30-minutes documentary, widely condemned to have contained hate campaign and it seems Buhari is fighting back as Monday, he bars AIT from covering his activities –

Vanguard gathered that directive was discreetly given to the correspondent by an official at the Defence House where the crew had gone to cover the visit of Cuban ambassador to Buhari.

Daar Communications PLC, owners of AIT had during the Campaign, aired damaging documentary about the President-elect’s era as a dictator and one who abused human rights and shut down the media, some of the reports said to have been fabricated..

Though the station is yet to react to the latest action by the soon to be President of Nigeria, AIT aired the sponsored documentary said to have been promoted by the opposing party, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party against his candidacy..

A chieftain and leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had secured a court order stopping the local channel from airing a documentary about him and further demanding for damages in billions.
