Breaking: Accident Involving Nigerian Air Force Helicopter In Lagos

A Super Puma Helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on training mission in Lagos at 10:00 a.m. friday, today, returning to the Apron suffered severe damage.

The NAF Helicopter according to Air Commodore Dele J ALONGE, Director Public Relations and Information (NAF)
for Chief of Air Staff in a statement to NewsWireNGR, the Puma helicopter suffered severe damage due to hydraulic failure”

The statement reads, “after the completion of the training exercise suffered severe damage due to hydraulic failure while on taxi to the Hanger.”

Alonge added that “here was no casualty recorded, however, the main Rotor debris caused damage to some ground equipment.

Consequently, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal AN Amosu has ordered immediate investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to the accident.
