Following the victory of Muhammadu Buhari, the APC candidate at the Presidential elections; former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George says he may be going on exile.

PDP Chieftain, George had, in an interview on February 27th, 2015, promised that he will proceed on exile if Bola Tinubu’s party, the APC, find its way into national government. He alleged that, if Bola Tinubu gets into power, he would instruct his “boy”, the APC Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, to immediately pick him up. Bode George said this in an interview with Eniola Akinkuotu of Punch

“If Bola Tinubu finds his way into national government, I will go on exile. He hasn’t the temerity and the calmness of mind. They don’t even know what to do in power. Because the vice-president is his boy, he will just order that Bode George should be picked up. ”

Speaking recently on the eve of the PDP’s defeat at the polls, the PDP chieftain said “What will I be doing here? I can decide to go and live anywhere. Look at everyone surrounding him (Buhari). ”So, I am not joking about it, what will I be doing here? At 70, what will I be doing here? All we have been doing to restructure the country has been lost. We have been trying to ensure balance in the polity but all that has gone. What else will I be doing here?”
