Breaking: Ebonyi House Of Assembly Serves Impeachment Notice On Governor Martins Elechi

The Ebonyi state House of Assembly friday morning served an impeachment notice on Governor Martin Elechi over what it described as act of gross misconduct on the part of the Governor.

Reading the notice at the plenary, the acting leader of the House, Hon. Francis Nwifruru accused the Governor of huge financial misappropriation, undermining of the integrity of the House among other offences, Vanguard reports.

NewsWreNGR recalls that on Wednesday, Fire was ignited by unknown arsonists, in the early hours of Tuesday, February 24, has burnt down the Ebonyi State House of Assembly.

According to reports, the fire began in the Accounts department and subsequently spread to the media section of the House of Assembly complex, fuelling the ongoing crisis in the state.  Pictured is the complex said to have been razed to the ground..
