The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, has said that he remained protected against any evil attack and nothing was going to happen to him except the will of Allah, the Creator.

“I am protected and nothing is going to happen to me”, Emir Sanusi said.

Boko Haram Abubakar Shekau vow to kill the Emir of Kano in a recent video he released, describing the Kano Emir as a fake Muslim who only controls Kano.

Excerpts of his video

“Listen to me, you are only but the King of Kano, King of Central Bank, King of money. “Because you are made the emir of Kano that is why you called on the vigilante groups and hunters to attack us but the hunters and the vigilante groups will fail you. We would kill you and take your people as hostages.” He said Boko Haram’s government “is defined as government of the Allah by the Allah and for the Allah”, not like “government as the government of the people by the people and for the people”.

“Emir of Kano Sanusi you are late, that our triumph is just for a period of time so you said,” he continued. “Even your predecessors who are renowned idol worshipers in Islamic history like ‘Abujahal’ could not succeed fighting Islam. Yes you can say that our success is for a period of time, because you are a king of Bank and a loyal citizen of his country.”

Commenting on Shekau’s threats, the brave Emir said it was rather unacceptable for people to abandon their daily dealings or deserted their places of worship because of the fear created by evil doers, and urged all not to succumb to fear and to be their brothers’ keepers.

The emir who said these at the weekend when he presided over the special prayer, reiterated his earlier call for the general public to protect themselves against the attacks of Boko Haram fanatical sect.

Muhammad Sanusi II, urged all Muslim faithful and the followers of Tijjaniyya, Qadiriyya and Izala religious movements to be vigilant and continue to guard themselves and rise against insurgent attacks.
