Islamic Caliphate: As Boko Haram Rules Mubi, Sect Amputates Hands Of 10 Alleged Thieves

Reports from Mubi town which recently fell under the control of Boko Haram insurgents have indicated that leader of the sect Shiekh Abubakar Shekau has appointed a spiritual leader popularly called “Amir” who will ensure the strict implementation of Sharia Law in the town.

Nigeria’s Leadership Newspaper reports that the appointment of the spiritual leader by the sect is to allow the Islamic Caliphate to take over the administration of the town including implementing strict Sharia Law as contained in Islam.

The appointed spiritual leader according to reports have already started implementing the Sharia Law by meting out punishment to some errant residents of the town who allegedly stole properties of fleeing residents after the town was overran by the sect.

Sources from Mubi says “The sect has begun implementation of strict Shariah law as some trapped residents claimed to have witnessed the amputation of some persons who allegedly looted properties belonging to fleeing residents.”

Reports from the town also indicated that the Palace of Emir of Mubi have been converted to the resident of the “Amir” as Boko Haram flags were hoisted on the palace to signify that the sect is in control of the palace which is now the spiritual base of the sect.

A trapped resident of the town disclosed that sequel to the swearing in of the spiritual leader, a long convoy made up of a delegation believed to be envoys of were spotted entering into Mubi Town and made their way to the Emir’s palace annexed as the operational headquarters of the sect.

An eyewitness account revealed that the insurgents also paraded 10 persons whose hands were chopped off in the full glare of residents who were told to converge and witness the enforcement of strict shariah law on the suspects who allegedly looted residents’ properties.

The eyewitness said the insurgents have been harping that their main target is to dislodge Yola, as Adamawa State capital which is about 240 Kilometers away from Mubi.

Sources tell NewsWireNGR that after the occupation of Mubi, the flags of Boko Haram were hoisted in  strategic parts of the town.

Whenever the sect capture’s any Nigerian town, the Militant would enforce strict compliance with the Sharia law almost immediately for residents to understand that there’s been a change in government. The fear has however led to the large scale of residents seen fleeing communities said to have been captured by the insurgents..

Meanwhile, in a statement issued Saturday by the Nigerian Military and made available to NewsWireNGR, necessary deployment of troops and equipment is ongoing to reverse all recent violation and breach of security by terrorists and criminals operating in parts of the country.

“The highly coordinated air bombardment is already yielding required results in the mission to repel the unwarranted attacks on citizens especially in Adamawa and Borno States as land forces are also conducting mopping up operations to apprehend retreating terrorists and facilitate restoration of normalcy in some of the affected communities” Chris Olukolade stated.
