Fayose Allegedly Slaps Justice Adeyeye As Thugs Pounce On Unfortunate Magistrate

There was pure drama at the Ekiti State High Court on Thursday morning as thugs who were allegedly acting on the orders of the governor-elect of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose pounced on Justice John Adeyeye and beat the hell out of him at the Ekiti State Governorship Election petition Tribunal sitting which was slated for today at the high court.

Premium Times reports that judicial workers were seen abandoning their duty posts as they scampered for safety when the scuffle intensified. The report has it that thugs in support of Fayose stormed the court premises as early as 6am. Policemen from the Police Headquarters around majors streets and the court environment.

Trouble began when Justice Adeyeye approached Fayose and urged him to ask his supporters to stay away from the court premises. Fayose allegedly responded by shouting the judge down, landing him a  hot slap and ordering his thugs to beat up the judge. The report has it that the thugs not only beat up the justice but tore his clothes too. The Police later fired tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd and we hear the judge is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital somewhere in Ado-Ekiti

The hearing which was billed for today was meant to help determine Mr. Fayose’s eligibility for the June 21 governorship election which he contested and won.
