Rio Ferdinand Labels John Terry ‘Stupid’ In His Autobiography

Former Manchester United skipper, Rio Ferdinand has in his autobiography made public statements about the racial insult his younger brother, Anton had received from Chelsea’s John Terry three years ago. According to Rio, John Terry who he referred to as ‘stupid’ never apologized to him or Anton after the incident.

‘He never apologised to me or to Anton. And he has never hinted that he has ever had a moment of understanding over the damage his stupidity had inflicted on everyone’, he said

It was in an English Premier League match between Chelsea and QPR in 2011 that Chelsea captain, John Terry and Anton Ferdinand who was with QPR at the time had a clash. Terry was later accused of being a racist as he had allegedly called Anton a ‘f*cking black c*nt‘ during the altercation

Anton’s elder brother and former England teammate of John Terry, Rio Ferdinand was very upset about what Terry had told his brother and it appeared the relationship between one-time England’s defensive pairing had broken down over the spat

The English FA had at the time ruled that John Terry had indeed racially abused Anton Ferdinand. Afterwards, the court cleared the Chelsea skipper of racial abuse but that did not stop him from quitting the English National team.
