Guardiola Tips Enrique For Glory

Despite winning more than a dozen trophies with Barcelona during the four-year period he spent with the Catalan giants, Pep Guardiola strongly believes new Barca manager, Luis Enrique will do better than he did.

The former Roma manager became the manager of Barcelona FC this season. He had previously coached the Barcelona team B during Guardiola’s era at Camp Nou before joining Roma, Celta Vigo and now Barcelona.

Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola knows Enrique very well as they both played for Barcelona within a five year period and he has now tipped Enrique for glory.

“Of course he can match me at Barcelona, I think very highly of him. He will do a better job than I did,” Guardiola was quoted as saying by Sport.

“It is important for Barcelona to have its own identity again, a philosophy that we all recognize. I think we will see just that under Luis Enrique”, he said
