Fashola, Oshiomole, Wamakko Absent From APC’S Governors Forum

The meeting of the Governor’s Forum of the All Progressives Congress APC, began in Owerri yesterday. However, three Governors were notably absent. The Governors of Lagos, Sokoto and Edo State were absent. No reasons were proffered for the absence of Raji Fashola, Adams Oshiomole and Aliyu Wamakko.

Former Vice-Presidernt Alhaji Atiku Abubakar while delievering a lecture titled ‘Dealing with the challenges of building a physically healthy nation through preventive, protective and innovative medicare’ challenged the Federal Government to tackle  the current health and security challenges facing the citizenry at present. He also promised that if the APC is voted into power in 2015, Steps would be taken to improve the living condition of the people “an APC controlled Federal Government would take necessary steps to transform the country for a better tomorrow.”

Also Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun enjoined Nigerians to shun politics of calumny and politicians who engage in character assassinations. He said the APC was neither a Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo Party but rather “a national vehicle composed of progressive minds who have the capacity to transform the country” for a better tomorrow.

“I want to assure you all that the APC is on the path of greatness and the 15 years of PDP misrule in the country will come to an end by February 2015 and this is a challenge to all of us,” Oyegun told the APC governors.
