Ribery Announces Shock Retirement

French winger, Franck Ribery has shocked the footballing world by announcing his retirement from international football. The 31-year-old Bayern Munich player missed out on the Brazil 2014 world cup due to a back problem.

He has stated that he would love to concentrate on his family and club duties for now.

“I find that this is the moment”.

“I want to dedicate myself more to my family and concentrate on the tasks at Bayern, and also leave a place in the national team for the many great young players.

“One has to know when to stop. I’ve seen so much; now it is time for others to move forward.
