Gunmen Abduct Majority Leader Of Ebonyi State Assembly

Gunmen Thursday morning kidnapped the majority leader of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Nwali in Abakaliki Metropolis.

Nwali was said to have been kidnapped at his residence at Watchman street in Abakaliki, a member representing Afikpo South East, Eni Uduma Chima confirmed the incident to newsmen.

The House member who represents Ikwo South state constituency is believed to be a strong supporter of the Speaker-elect, Hon. Helen Nwobasi.

Recall that the assembly members had Monday impeached the former speaker Former Speaker, Hon. Chukwuma Nwazunku allowing for a new speaker of the assembly, which has led to a crisis rocking the House.
