Nigeria’s Council Of State Assures Of The Rescue Of Abducted Chibok Schoolgirls Two Months After

Council of State Tuesday assured that very soon the over 200 girls abducted by terrorist group, Boko Haram from Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, will   be rescued.

Nigeria’s Council of state members comprise of all former heads of states and President as well as state governors, the President and security chiefs who meet from time to time to discuss pressing National issues.

At todays meeting at the Aso Rock Villa Abuja, Nigerians were urged to be patient as the federal government was working had to wipe out terrorism.

All these were the fallout of the Council of State meeting, which was announced by Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio,  while briefing state House correspondents jointly with Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole.

The embattled Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako,  was present at the meeting.

General Muhammadu Buhari was absent at the meeting but the meeting had in attendance Vice President Namadi Sambo; President of the Senate, David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal; former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former President Shehu Shagari and former Head of the Interim National Government, Ernest Shonekan.
