World Cup 2014: Ghana Name Final Squad

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has dropped Jeffery Schlupp, David Accam and Jerry Akaminko as he names his team for Brazil.

The players were dropped following  a pre-World Cup friendly against the Netherlands in Rotterdam on Saturday night.

The coach, however confirmed that he would have been taking Turkey-based Akaminko along to the tournament but for a late ankle injury he suffered in the last minute of the friendly.

Ghana lost the game 1-0 after Robin van Persie scored early on.

Keepers: Adam Kwarasey, Fatau Dauda, Stephen Adams.

Defenders: Samuel Inkoom, Daniel Opare, Harrison Afful, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Rashid Sumaila.

Midfielders: Michael Essien, Rabiu Mohammed, Agyemang Badu, Kwadwo Asamoah, Sulley Muntari, Albert Adomah, Wakaso Mubarak, Christian Atsu, Andre Ayew, Afriyie Acquah.

Forwards: Asamoah Gyan, Kevin Prince Boateng, Abdul Majeed Waris, Jordan Ayew.

Dropped: David Accam, Jeffery Schlupp, Jerry Akaminko
