The Restoration Boys have thumbed up their important wins over Rangers and Enyimba in Benin where they have been banished to for their next three league games

Bayelsa United media officer George Ameli has expressed happiness at their second successive win over south eastern clubs after Enyimba fell 2-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City in a rescheduled league match played on Sunday.

Enugu Rangers had earlier lost 3-4 to them in a seven goal thriller played mid-week in Benin where they were banished to for their next three league games over their unruly behaviour against El Kanemi Warriors recently.

With two wins already away from their preferred territory, Ameli assured Goal that the club would be third time lucky when they host Abia Warriors on Wednesday in Benin in a game that marks the end of their banishment to the area.

“We are happy with this result and it goes a long way to show that we have put behind us our sad elimination from the Caf Confederations Cup competition, ” Ameli said.

“We won’t get carried away as we push further to get to our preferred position on the league table.

“We still have two important games to play against Kano Pillars and Giwa FC and if we get at least four points from those encounters we will be on top of the league without problems,” he concluded.
