Ekiti 2014: Fayose Boast Of Removing Fayemi As PDP Presents Him With Certificate Of Return

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, on Friday, pleaded with all the aspirants in the last Saturday’s party’s primary in the Ekiti State governornship election which produced the former governor of the state, Mr Ayodele Fayose, as its candidate to put the out come of the exercise behind them for the party to be victorious at the election.

Alhaji Mu’azu made the plea in Abuja while presenting the party’s certificate of Return to Fayose as the standard bearer in the up coming June 21 governorship election in the state.

The National Chairman, while advising Fayose to see his victory as a victory for all the aspirants who contested along with him, assured that all the aspirants would not only be recognised by the party, but would be rewarded for their efforts towards the uplift of the image of the party and advised him to reach out to all of them for the task ahead of winning the state for the PDP.

Responding, Fayose disclosed that he had commenced the reconciliation process with all the aspirants and that results coming in were impressing, which made the likes of Senator Ayo Arise, one of the former aspirants, to be present at the presentation of the certificate of return in Abuja.

Fayose, who promised to win the state for the party, said ‘‘this is to assure our leaders and party members that PDP’s victory in Ekiti is a forgone conclusion. Governor Kayode Fayemi remains my governor till June 21.’’

Speaking on the insinuation that President Goodluck Jonathan aided his victory at the primary election, Fayose said his emergence had sent jitters into the camp of the opposition ,especially Fayemi and his supporters.
