House of Assembly Calls For Complete Overhaul Of Schools In Kwara

The Kwara State House of Assembly Wednesday urged the state government to urgently embark on complete overhaul of dilapidated class rooms, provide additional classrooms, examination halls and science

In a report presented by the committee chairman, Nimota Ibrahim, the committee’s oversight was to check the state of infrastructure, teaching and learning processes of the schools.

The house said laboratories where needed across the state and gave the Abdulfatah Ahmed’s government a matching order to provide all schools with adequate text books, potable water, toilets as well as embark on serious recruitment, replacement, distribution, and re-distribution of teachers across the state.

These were resolutions of the House after examining and assessing the report of the House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development which paid oversight visits to some selected primary, junior and secondary schools across the state.
