PDP Crisis: Adamu Mu’azu In A Closed Door Meeting With Obasanjo

Less than a week to the appointment of the new chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adamu Mu’ azu. The Party Chairman was Sunday at the latter’s Hilltop Mansion, in Abeokuta in a two-hour secret meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The Agenda of the meeting was not disclosed to newsmen but had in attendance, Senator Andy Uba, who was a senior aide to Obasanjo during his administration, former PDP National Auditor, Bode Mustapha, among other associates of Obasnjo and Mu’azu.

The meeting was however in a bid to resolve the crisis rocking the party upon which Obasanjo last year decided to suspend himself from activities of the party at all levels.

Mu’azu was appointed last week by the National Executive Committee of the party following the resignation of the former Chairman Bamanga Tukur.
Mu’azu, a former governor of Bauchi State for eight years had promised to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party.
The Former President had written to stay away from the affairs of the party following the involvement of Buruji Kashamu as the leader of the party in the South-West.
