NSE Market Capitalisation Depreciated By N31 billion Wednesday

A total of  390.35 billion shares valued at N2.93 billion were traded in 5,012 deals on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday.

These were against the 701.33 million shares worth N3.30 billion traded in 5,393 deals on Tuesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the market capitalisation depreciated by N31 billion or 0.25 per cent to close at N12.43 trillion from N12.46 trillion recorded on Tuesday.

The All-Share Index, which opened at 38,961.60, lost 117.43 basis points to close at 38,844.17.

Nigerian Breweries led the losers’ chart with a loss of N4.99 to close at N162.01 per share.

Mobil followed, depreciating by N1.34 to close at N118.65, while Unilever dropped 70k to close at N59.86 per share.

Ashakacem dipped by 50k to close at N20.50, while Transcorp depreciated by 26k to close at N31.71 per share.

Conversely, International Breweries topped the gainers’ table with N1.20 to close at N25.20 per share.
It was trailed by Flour mill which gained 92k to close at N86 per share.

Union Dicon gained 76k to close at N8.28, while UBN and NASCON appreciated by N20k to close at N12.85 and N12.65 per share, respectively.

WAPIC was the toast of investors, trading 86.33 million shares worth N82.89 million.

Transcorp came second, trading 54.42 million shares worth N203.87 million, while Unity Bank sold 53.99 million shares valued at N28.49 million.

Access Bank traded 24.16 million shares worth N232.19 million, while Zenith Bank sold 18.59 million valued at N393.72 million.
